Quran Memorization Program

The M&M Academy Hifth Program aims to inspire students to excel in reading and memorizing the holy Qur’an with correct recitation and tajweed. Our goal is to foster a nurturing environment that promotes student learning, character development, and leadership skills, all while nurturing a deep connection with the book of Allah.

Duration

The program runs throughout the year with planned breaks of 2-3 weeks between the school year and the summer camp. Classes are held five days a week:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Quran Studies Track

Pre-Hifz Track for Girls & Boys: Students in this category will learn Quran fluency and apply tajweed rules effectively.

Hifz Track for Girls & Boys: The M&M Academy Hifth Program offers students the chance to memorize the Noble Quran while focusing on proper tajweed application. The expected completion time is 3 to 4 years, depending on individual memorization abilities.

Ijazah in Quran Memorization/Hifth: In Arabic, “Ijazah” means “permission” or “authorization.” In the context of Quran memorization, it is a recognized certificate that allows the holder to transmit and teach the Quran. This Ijazah is awarded to students who flawlessly memorize and recite the entire Quran without errors in front of an Ijazah-certified Sheikh or Quran Teacher.

Upon completing their memorization and review, M&M Academy students proceed to obtain their Ijazah from Sheikh Dr. AbdurRazak Muhammed, a scholar from Madinah University.

Evaluations

Assessments:

Students’ progress is regularly evaluated through various types of assessments.

Memorization: Students in the hifth track undergo testing upon completing each Juz of memorization. They progress to the next Juz only after mastering the current one, continuing until they memorize the entire Quran.
Quarterly, there will be a Final Exam lasting a week, and an Annual Exam at year-end spanning two weeks.

Review: Students regularly review memorized Ajzaa’ and are tested daily based on a review schedule.

Reading & Tajweed: Reading sessions aid students in maintaining fluency and Tajweed rules. These sessions also facilitate review. Hifth students’ reading fluency and accuracy are assessed daily by a teacher with Ijazah in reading with Tajweed.

Documentation and Parental Responsibilites

Documentation and Communication:

To ensure transparency, students’ daily progress and assessment results are promptly communicated to parents through shared Google documents for each class.

Parental Responsibilities:

It is essential that your child arrives punctually for class. Allocate at least 2 hours in the evening and 45 minutes in the morning for your child to revise and practice their lessons. Establish a schedule to optimize their learning and ensure adequate time for memorization.

Ensure your child maintains a balanced diet and gets enough rest as these factors significantly impact their performance. Avoid cold drinks and ice as they can adversely affect the voice.

Regularly communicate with your child’s teacher to monitor their progress. To schedule a meeting, please email [email protected] as teachers are unavailable during school hours.

Prioritize your child’s Quran memorization over other activities at home. After completing the Quran memorization, students are required to remain in the program for at least 4 months for revision purposes.
