High School Learning Program

M&M Academy High School:
Established in 2011, M&M Academy High School is a four-year Muslim high school, with its first senior class graduating in spring 2014. Our high school classes are structured based on courses, maintaining an average student-to-teacher ratio of 10:1. This low ratio enables our educators to provide personalized support to each student.

High School Curriculum:
The academic program follows a traditional schedule, with five to six 50-minute classes per course. Courses are yearlong and divided into two semesters, each with two quarters. Students are required to take a midterm exam, a cumulative final exam for each course, and complete a research graduation paper for the senior class.

The cumulative final exam for each course assesses the knowledge acquired throughout the year, preparing students for college-level cumulative final exams.

Graduation Research Papers

Graduation Research Papers:

Irrespective of their chosen field of study, students are likely to encounter the task of writing a research paper at some point in their academic journey. Mastering the art of crafting a well-written research paper is a valuable skill that will benefit our students throughout their careers.

At M&M Academy, we guide senior students through the process of developing a research paper, starting from brainstormed notes to a refined final draft. This training provides them with a glimpse of what to expect in college.

GPA Calculation

Weighted GPA Calculation:

Courses are graded on a 4.0 scale as follows:

A 4.0 GPA, or Grade Point Average, is equivalent to an A letter grade on a 4.0 GPA scale. This means it is equivalent to 93-95%. Regular classes will be given points according to the standard scale (A = 4, B = 3, C = 2). Honors classes, grades will be increased by half a Pass/Fail (P/F) or Pass/No Pass (P/NP) courses are not factored in the student’s GPA. Incompletes (I) and Withdrawals (W) do not affect a student’s GPA because these courses do not receive any grade points or credit hours.

Dual Enrollment Program

In response to the increasing demand for Islamic knowledge based on authentic sources (Quran and Sunnah), M&M Academy has partnered with Mishkah University to offer dual enrollment courses in Islamic Studies for high school students (grades 9-12). This collaboration provides a unique opportunity for youth in the West to deepen their understanding of Islam through authentic education during these challenging times.

Through this program, high school students can earn credits towards an Associate’s degree from Mishkah University by completing college-level Islamic Studies courses while still in high school. This initiative aims to motivate students to pursue comprehensive Islamic education and pave the way for their higher education in Islamic studies.

Mishkah University will assess students’ academic achievements based on their final exam scores and award appropriate course credits. After graduating from M&M Academy, students can directly join Mishkah University to continue their studies towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
